She !s me – Act 1
Here's how it all started … The very first pages, i.e. chapter one, of „Oh nein! Ich bin ein Mädchen!“ have been translated into English and are now available. Every few days from now on, a remaining chapter of the first act will be uploaded. Please click here to start reading. Mit dem „Heartland“ im Titel ist das American Heartland gemeint, ein schwerer, urtümlicher Landstrich, in de USA abseits der pulsierenden Großstädte. Hier wächst der Junge Trevor auf einer kleinen Farm auf. Sein Leben wird bestimmt von seinem despotischen Vater, der auch seine Mutter mundtot gemacht hat. Die Familie hat allerdings ein Geheimnis: Trevor hat einen jüngeren Bruder, Will, der merkwürdig entstellt ist und über besondere Kräfte verfügt. Seine Mutter hat ihren Sohn seit seiner Geburt vor sechs Jahren nicht mehr angesehen, und er wird wie ein Hund an der Kette im Schuppen nebenan gehalten.
Nach Modern Tales hat der Brandenburger Verlag eidalon im Herbst 2007 ein weiteres Unterlabel ins Rennen geschickt. Während Modern Tales mit seinen Veröffentlichungen wie Queen & Country oder Wasteland das erwachsenere Publikum anspricht, dreht sich bei comikat alles um die Unterhaltung jüngerer Leser bzw. der ganzen Familie. Mit der ersten Veröffentlichung hat man direkt einen dicken Fisch an der Angel: Die Serie Amelia Rules! von Jimmy Gownley ist in den USA für diverse hochrangige Auszeichnungen nominiert worden.
